General Info
Tri-Valley Stargazers (TVS) is a registered non-profit astronomy club serving the areas in and around Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, Fremont, and Tracy, California.

Public outreach and astronomy education are promoted collectively by the club and individually by members who present public programs and monthly meetings. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in astronomy. Amateurs and professionals are equally welcome.

Members can have access to the club's dark-sky site, located on private property south of Livermore. Members also receive a monthly newsletter, Prime Focus.

TVS holds monthly meetings on the third Friday of the month. Meetings are held at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 1893 North Vasco Road, Livermore, CA. This is about 3/4 mile north of Hwy. 580 (from the Vasco Rd. exit). Meetings update members on club activities, and are a forum for new or expanded ideas in astronomy. The public is always welcome. Speakers have represented organizations such as NASA, Lockheed, UC Berkeley, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. TVS also provides programs and star parties to area schools and local parks.

TVS is a member of NASA's Night Sky Network, The Astronomical Association of Northern California (AANC) , The Astronomical League (AL), the Western Amateur Astronomers (WAA), and the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA).
