Our September speaker is Dr. Thomas Berger. He will be talking about the work he has been doing studying the sun with the Swedish 1-meter solar telescope on La Palma, Spain. He will be showing some of the latest images and movies of sunspot penumbral fibers, sunspot lightbridges, and faculae.
