Meeting is on Friday, August, 19, 2005. Conversation at 7:00 p.m., lecture at 7:30 p.m.

Our August meeting features Astronomy's "Little Unification" presented by Norm Sperling. Why do we group the various astronomical objects the way we do. Pluto is a planet, but Ganymede--a moon larger than Pluto--is a moon. Why can't it be a planet? Learn about the ever confusing categories and labels assigned to astronomical objects.
