Our May speaker is Phil Scherrer, who will be speaking on "New Views of the Sun", covering the on-going Solar Dynamics observatory that was launched in Feb 2010 and is now collecting data. Dr. Scherrer is one of the principal investigators for the mission, as well as a long-time TVS member.
